Welcome
Pluto Play Productions was founded by Brian Daniels and the late Andrew Connolly in 1997 to run the famous New End Theatre in New End, Hampstead, North London. Between 1997 and 2011, the company produced more than 200 new plays and musicals as well as literary events with established writers.
Since 2011, the company has largely produced plays inspired by true stories. Contemporary and complex issues covering health and social care, life-limiting illness, dementia, and family relationships are explored in a compassionate and understanding way. They are all written by Brian Daniels.
The plays are commissioned by, hosted by, and performed at NHS sites, hospitals, hospices, community centres, national theatres and at conferences and used for education and training purposes.
This website provides details of the plays in the production company’s portfolio as well as new plays coming down the tracks. It also explains how to become a host of a play performance and how to commission the writing of a new play
