The Good and the True

Telling the story of two Holocaust survivors and the devastating impact of Nazism

‘The Good and the True’ is based on the inspirational true story of Holocaust survivors Hana Pravda, an actress, and Milos Dobry, an athlete. These remarkable individuals never met, but their stories interweave throughout this powerful production. The events of their lives unfold on stage, encompassing their backgrounds in Czechoslovakia and the devastating impact of Nazism on them and their communities before and during the second World War. This is a true life account of how the best of humanity can endure and overcome the very worst of atrocities.

A remarkable piece of verbatim theatre, the play tells the true stories of two extraordinary voices while also powerfully evoking the memory of those who died without ever telling theirs.

You can only marvel at the human qualities of endurance.
